Thesis title: Textured BiFeO3 piezoelectric thin films on flexible metal substrates for energy harvesting applications
The goal of the project is to manufacture piezoelectric BiFeO3 thin films with preferential grain orientation to maximize the piezoelectric response. The achieve this, the films will be grown by means of chemical solution deposition on cube textured nickel substrates. To avoid inter-diffusion and reduce the risk of oxidizing the Ni substrate, a conductive lanthanum nickelate intermediate layer will be inserted.
