Project title: Functionalities of twisted freestanding oxide membranes
Freestanding oxide membrane is an emerging research area that offers a unique platform to probe the properties of oxides, e.g., strain and strain-gradient engineering. We have been putting an effort into experiments to unravel the underlying mechanism towards realizing atomically thin oxide freestanding films arranged in stacks, understanding the interaction between layers, and enhancing the ionic mobility at these stacks, i.e., across and along the interfaces, all of which will be used for energy application.
