In DTU Energy, my scientific activity is focused on multifunctional compounds that exhibit coupled dielectric, magnetic, optical, thermal and mechanical properties at a range of length scales. Intricate collective behavior, coupled with other functionalities and subjected to external stimuli, is an area of active research that opens the door to a wide array of applications. Of particular interest, are ferroic materials with electric and/or magnetic dipole order, which form the basis for a number of interesting technological developments. I utilize and develop computational techniques at both continuum and
atomistic scale to elucidate the behavior, properties and performance of these compounds in close collaboration with the experimental groups here.
