Project title: Nanostructured electronics

My research centers on the fabrication and characterization of nanoscale electronic devices, with a focus on low-energy-consumption components for (quantum) computers and simulators, and devices with new functionalities. A core interest has been extending capabilities through generating new materials combinations. Previous highlights include combining semiconductor nanostructures with nanopatterned polymers for biological interfacing and thermoelectric devices, and semiconductor/superconductor hybrids with pristine interfaces for quantum computation. At DTU energy I work on the development and characterization of oxide heterostructures and nanopatterned semiconductors, for applications ranging from quantum simulation to thermoelectric energy harvesting. We do this through techniques such as electron transport measurements and electron and scanning microscopy.
