Thesis title: Perpetual Energy Storage by Topological spin textures in Oxides

I joined DTU Energy as PhD in 2025 after completing my master’s degree in physics at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Grenoble Alpes University.

My project aims to investigate a novel approach to capture and store energy using skyrmions, which are topologically protected spin textures occurring in magnetic systems with broken inversion symmetry. My work will be devoted to controlling skyrmion nucleation, motion and annihilation through thermal effects. This will involve characterization techniques and magnetic imaging, in particular Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM), complemented by micromagnetic simulations. This project ultimately works towards the development of a sustainable next‑generation energy storage solution.
